If you try to time stretch it, it will probably lose its original sound and you will hear some unwanted glitches. You’ve probably heard this effect many times in popular electronic dance music. At the same time, it does feel like somebody just dropped a bass bomb, when that effect is played. Have you ever wanted to make those sub-bass drops that you so often hear when you are watching movie trailers? The ones used to create some dramatic effect? The reason why people call it a bass drop is because, without subs, it really does cut out the low-end in the entire mix for that moment.
